Dr. Cora Mukerji (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Mukerji received her B.A. in Psychology from Yale University. She completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Harvard University and a full-time Internship in Health Service Psychology in 2020. She then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital in the Labs of Cognitive Neuroscience and served as a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Research Excellence at Boston University prior to starting the Development, Early Experiences, & Resilience (DEER) Lab.
As a clinical scientist, Dr. Mukerji's research focuses on how factors at the level of biology, psychology, family, and broader sociocultural environment interact to shape children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. The DEER Lab investigates the mechanisms that allow early childhood experiences to "get under the skin," impacting patterns of brain and cognitive development and setting children on pathways to very different mental health and social outcomes later in life. In partnership with children, families, and communities, the DEER Lab aims to apply this scientific knowledge to develop new interventions and inform public policies to support children's social and emotional development.
