Lab Culture

A diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and lived experiences enrich our lab. We believe that the best scientific communities flourish in an environment that is inclusive, supportive, and antiracist. At DEER lab, we are committed to fostering a lab culture that dismantles barriers to full participation and actively promotes equity. As director of the lab, Professor Mukerji will support your development as a researcher, student, and human being with both academic and non-academic aspirations and struggles. She aims to foster a safe environment to ask questions, share both successes and challenges, and admit mistakes without concern for negative judgment.  By joining our lab, you are committing to the shared values of this community and committing to support your fellow lab members.
